Why use Google Docs in the Classroom?

Google Docs is Google's free suite of office applications. Many K-12 School Districts, Colleges and Universities have set up Google accounts for their students and teachers. Once of the advantages of using Google Docs are the collaboration tools that allow users to work on the same document simultaneously. Google Docs allow for sharing and collaboration options that many traditional office suites are lacking.

Before you Start

You may have a Google Account through your school or workplace, or you may have a personal account. If you don't already have access to Google, you'll want to start by creating an account here.
